WASH DAY WITH RICE WATER

Oh yeah! Its another lovely washing day...
Today,am using fermented rice water to rinse my hair. Am actually using this in place of my conditioner... Am so super excited. This is actually my first time trying this. I do hope it turns out well.

Rice water gives a lot of benefits to the human hair. Not just rice water but fermented rice water. It gives super glossy, soft and silky hair. It equally provides thickness to the hair.
Rice grain is rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamin E and traces of pitera (a substance produced during the fermentation process). All these nutrients present help to increase hair growth. Thats exactly what i need right now...

                   HOW TO MAKE RICE WATER
Its really easy to make. All you need is a cup of uncooked rice and 2 cups of water.
First, rinse the rice to wash off dirt or impurities. Place the rice in a bowl with some water and let it soak for 24hrs. Be sure to tightly shut the bowl....
When its all done, strain out the water into a clean bowl, discarding the rice. You will know its fermented when bubbles are seen on the water. It will give a slightly sour smell. Thats it. If you wanna preserve this, you might want to go a step further by boiling the water to stop the fermentation process. Let it cool down and store in a container and refrigerate for a week...

Time to use...apply this after your pre poo before shampooing. Slowly pour the rice water unto your scalp, massage your scalp to help the water sink in,wrap your hair in a shower cap and leave in for 20 to 30mins. shampoo your hair to get rid of the aweful ferment smell...

This also wroks as a facial cleanser for the skin. Just dip a cotton ball into the rice water and gently massage it for a couple of minutes to promote blood flow. Dont wash out. Let your face air dry,to make sure it absorbs all of the good stuff. Follow up with your moisturizer. Thats it. So simple....
