Hello there,am trying out some protein treatment for my natural hair...
The all natural and organic homemade protein treatment is very nourishing to the scalp and hair roots. Making a homemade protein treatment is not only very cheap but also very easy to make with simple kitchen ingredients. The hair is like a precious seedling, you must water it and nurture it with all the care and love in the world, so that it may grow into a healthy strong tree, full of vitality. With the homemade hair mask, you can feed and nurture your scalp and hair with powerful nutrients provided by mother nature to achieve bouncy lustrous hair.
In this article, we shall explore the most powerful ingredients i used to create a homemade protein treatment...
What are the roles of the KEY ingredients used in the recipes?
1.)Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Hydrates hair as well as acts as a natural conditioner for the hair. Olive oil has long been used for beauty hair care. Olive oil is brilliant for nourishing brittle dry damaged hair, rejuvenating it and giving it a healthy glow.
2.)Milk
Gives hair the soft feel.
3.)Eggs
Eggs are packed with numerous nutrients that make it one of the most perfect foods in our diets. Eggs are well known for their very rich source of protein. In fact, the protein found in eggs is the highest quality protein you can ever find in any food. Here is a brief summary of nutrients in egg for healthy hair...
Protein... Nourishes the hair roots for Hair growth.
Fatty Acids...Give your hair a natural glossy shine.
Potassium... For healing dry damaged hair.
Vitamin A...Prevents hair breakage.
Vitamin D...Prevents hair loss and balding.
Vitamin B12... For hair growth.
Calcium... For long healthy hair, calcium promotes hair growth and is important for proper absorption of vitamin D.

Now before you make that disgusting 'eww' face, I have to say that an egg homemade hair mask will give you an amazing boost of calcium plus protein, giving you hair a soft feel as well as a lustrous shine.
How to make an egg homemade hair mask
Ingredients:
1.)One egg
2.)1 cup of milk... I used tin milk for this. The best is raw milk but since we dont have such in this region. I used what i got.
3.)Two tablespoons of olive oil
4.)Some of your favourite conditioner.
1. With one or two eggs, depending on the length and volume of your hair, separate the egg whites and egg yolk. Beat the separated egg yolks in a clean barter. Remember to first use your conditioner as the base.
2. Add the milk and two table spoons of olive oil to the gooey egg mixture and mix well.
3.Massage well into scalp, working from the roots to the hair ends, and let it sit for at least fifteen minutes. Cover with a disposable plastic shower cap as you do not want egg-y drops everywhere.
5. Using lukewarm or cold water, rinse very well and effectively, tackling all areas of your scalp to get rid of egg bits.
6. Use an organic fruit shampoo to make a final cleanse of your hair.
Quick Tips
1. Make sure to wash your hair very very very well, especially if you have really long hair. Do not use hot water to wash your hair - this will cook the eggs in the mask, and you will have cooked egg bits stuck around your hair strands. Use cold water, and rinse out as many times as necessary.
2. After ridding your hair of the egg mixture, you can lather in an amazing strawberry shampoo (or any delicious smelling shampoo) to your hair, so that all the egg-y smells are gone.
3.You might want to do an egg homemade hair mask at least once a month, if you hate the smell and feel of egg in your hair. I know, it is a bit icky but anyway, it really depends on your dedication to make your hair beautiful at any cost.
5. Use egg whites for oily greasy hair and egg yolk for dry brittle hair. Use whole egg for normal hair.
Have fun trying this out...
